WHY - A Wedding Website

Wedding website - Have you jumped on this yet?

For those not in the know about this wonderful option, I hope to enlighten you.

This is a great way of not only sharing all the info you have but also collating all the guests info. Gone are the days of needing a wodge of paperwork inside your invite. Even for my own wedding, we had to create a masterpiece to share everything to help guests find the venue, book a place to stay, RSVP… such a faff.

Now you can create a FREE website that not only can be styled beautifully and to suit your theme but will data management! Below I have put two that I recommend. I use these for my clients as I think they are easy to set up and can look beautiful.

My 5 top tips for setting these up…

  • Simple - Don’t overload with text, lists and pages. Think about what you would like to read on there.

  • About You - Reflect the type of couple people know you as. This could be totally soppy or quirky or funny.

  • Photos - Don’t be shy! Get your mugs on there!

  • Set Questions - Not just ‘are you coming’! Think about dietary requirements, meal options, accommodation (for possible bus back logistics), top tune nominations, fave couple story, marital advice….?!

  • Expectations - Set the scene, manage expectations such as weather, eating times, taxi availability and dress code.

Now, a good website will gather all this for you in a wonderful spreadsheet. This makes info easy to share with suppliers such as caterers etc. If you need some help making the data relatable to your day, give me a bell. I love stepping into the zone and seeing what the people are telling us! Every wedding is different so have their own oddities and focuses. Orientating your time plans, website and flow to suit the guests is very important.
