Brief: Throughout the months of helping this wonderful couple we had such a laugh! They had glorious ideas and the distance from Oz didn’t stop them creating a dream event. The hope was for a truly relaxed and connected celebration, relishing time with friends and family, in a wonderful location that meant a lot to them. True Lake District fans, the couple chose Townhead for its epic setting and flexibility. The day went perfectly and each guest really took in the sentiment and dedicated love from the couple.

Comment from Annabel:

“I am going to miss my time with this lovely couple as we had a such a good giggle and I really appreciated the thought they put into each aspect of the event. They were very conscious about not wasting a moment of time but also taking everything in. This is so important on your wedding day!”.

Words from the couple:

How did you find Annabel? By searching wedding planner, Lake District on Google!

What made you choose Annabel for your wedding? We had one consultation with Annabel and hit it off immediately. Her no nonsense, straight talking approach was exactly what we needed in all of the wedding noise, plus she likes to have a laugh, as we do, making the whole experience 100% less daunting!

What was the most difficult part of planning a wedding? Originally we thought planning a UK wedding from Australia was going to be a nightmare, especially because we weren’t able to easily visit and meet the venue and suppliers. In reality, the most difficult part was everything that goes into the wedding that you don’t even think about, and have to learn along the way. Luckily Annabel’s experience educated us on all of these intricate details so we could plan ahead and in good time, and it was not as overwhelming.

What are your key memories from the day? Having a ‘breather’ with one another post ceremony - Annabel handed us a glass of champers in a private space from guests, so we could take it all in. We loved our speeches and so glad we both did one. And how could we forget that epic dancefloor! It was on fire.

Would you change anything? Not getting chance to eat the amazing Mexican food on our late night refuel station! We were too busy busting shapes on the dfloor.

How was having Annabel there throughout the event? Just amazing and smooth sailing. We knew she had everything covered and that we could fully switch off, be present and enjoy it.

What advice would you give others planning a DIY style wedding? Always have a wet weather plan but don’t get too caught up by it. Also it’s always better to over compensate than under compensate!

Would you recommend Annabel? Yes Annabel is the best in the business and just a delight to work with!
