Brief: The first line from Lottie was ‘I’m actually slightly unsure of what service we require!’. They had booked the glorious Silverholme Manor and wanted to ensure they weren’t relying on those close to them to manage the day. The venue recommended us as we know the place very well (Annabel always comments ‘I’m one step away from being Lady of the Manor I’m sure!’!!).

The couple had some wonderful plans which really reflected on them as a pair and created a laid-back but thoughtful, emotional day. They roped in some great suppliers too who helped keep the positive and fun vibes. We assisted with a package that included two consultations throughout planning then being their on the day to take the reins. We juggled weather and lots of moving parts but what a marvellous day!

It was an honour to watch the day unfold with some perfect speeches, great food, brilliant entertainment and the place looking elegant and beautiful. The couple shone with love and were an absolute delight to help.

“When you have not just a laugh with the couple but adore their plans and people around them, you know the do is going to be a rewarding one! The love filling that tent by the end of the day was palpable. The dancefloor rocked and the joy was incredible! Well done team!” - Annabel, WBA.

Why did you hunt for a Coordinator? Getting married at a venue without an allocated coordinator or on-the-day management made me a little anxious! There were so many questions suppliers asked us that we hadn’t considered that slowly started to creep into the planning of our marquee wedding that I didn’t know the answer to. Aside from that, I really didn’t want me (bride), my Mum, bridesmaids or mother in law to have to organise and arrange things or guests on the day of the wedding. I was really conscious of the stress/burden of that taking away from the magic of the day we’d spent so long planning.

How did you find Annabel? She was highly recommended by the site manager of our venue.

What made you choose Annabel for your wedding? After meeting her once for an introductory video call it was clear we couldn’t do our wedding without her!

What was the most difficult part of planning a wedding? Balancing the planning and wedmin of a marquee wedding with a full time job! That and budgeting!

What are your key memories from the day? Walking down the aisle, the speeches and the fireworks!

Would you change anything? Sort of, but sort of not! I think I’d change the weather so we could have had an outside ceremony (as planned)… having said that the wet-weather backup alternative was intimate and gorgeous in its own special way, so probably not!

‌How was having Annabel there throughout the event? Absolutely essential!!! She put both of us at ease and is the enthusiastic and fun ball of energy you need on the biggest (and at times nerve wracking) day. She was so great with all of our guests that she blended into being one of them! Everything happened where and when it was meant to because of Annabel and we didn’t have to think about anything other than enjoying our day as a result.

What advice would you give others planning a DIY style wedding? Consider how much time you’ve got to invest in planning before booking a marquee wedding! There will be things you have to think about/plan/pay for that you would never have considered. Such things that if you knew about beforehand might make you reconsider a more ready-made venue. Having said that, making the venue your own is a unique benefit of a marquee wedding.

Would you recommend Annabel? Absolutely, 100%- who knows what we’d have missed had we not had Annabel overseeing!
