In Brief: Its not often I can appointed to help by a fellow wedding coordinator but it makes sense! Heather worked for a busy wedding venue but knew she wanted to chill on her day and not ‘work’ it! I was thrilled to be chosen and help her out. Even more so when after a covid postsponement they were bringing along a new teenie baby to the event!!! Heather nailed the new mumming with being a fabulous Bride. So very happy for them both!!

The happy couple very kindly shared their thoughts on Annabel's assistance too...

Why did you look for a Coordinator?

“I work as a venue wedding coordinator and so know how important it is to have someone there on the day that you trust to make sure everything runs smoothly, to time and to your plans. When we first started planning our day, I wanted someone there who could act as 'work mode' me so I could sit back and enjoy the day. After Covid postponements etc, we ended up having our baby daughter with us which meant I needed Annabel there much more then I'd originally thought!!”

What made you choose Annabel?

“I'd actually seen Annabel as a Lake District wedding fair and heard her talking about how you should do your wedding your own way and not worry about traditions. I knew then she was the right person for us! What was the hardest part of planning? Guests!! Working in the industry did give me a head start on suppliers etc, but the one thing I hadn't realised is how much time would be spent on organising guests, and how many last-minute changes they would cause!! Why did you choose a DIY event?I love weddings and live for the personal touches that are all about the couple and their families. I wouldn't have ever wanted anything else!Would you change anything with hindsight?Nothing - after two covid postponments, it was so great to see all our plans finally come together. Original plans didn't involve having a baby before the wedding and that would have left me more time to enjoy the day but wouldn't change having our daughter there for the world! How did having Annabel on the team help?Originally, I wanted to do all the set-up etc, and Annabel was just going to be an extra pair of hands and there to deal with any issues on the day that might arise so I wasn't bothered with them. As it turned out, we had our daughter 12 days earlier!!! So I had to hand the reins completely over to Annabel to do everything and she was brilliant. I didn't have to worry it wasn't done how I would have done it or that anything would be missed, she worked with my sisters and brought all my plans to life so perfectly. She was also great on the day when we had to sneak off to feed the baby, making sure food was brought to us and we were still well looked after.”

Would you recommend Annabel?

“Absolutely, couldn't have done it without her!!”

Pleasure Heather! Huge congrats again x
